Semester 2 Begins - February 2nd: A reminder that Semester 2 begins on Monday, February 2, 2026, for all junior and senior high students.
It’s a fresh start and a great time to set new goals. We’re wishing everyone a strong and successful second half of the school year!




Join us for the Alcoma Kindergarten Open House on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 12:30 p.m.
We invite all families with a child who will be 5 years old by December 31 to visit our school and explore our Kindergarten program. This is a great opportunity to meet staff, see the classrooms, and learn more about what Alcoma Kindergarten has to offer.
Transportation Available: Daily bussing is available from Brooks, with return transportation provided.

Due to rapidly changing weather conditions this afternoon, all rural bus routes have been cancelled.
*City of Brooks buses will continue within city limits only
*The Walking School Bus is cancelled for this afternoon
*Students who remain at school are safe and supervised by staff
For rural students who cannot be picked up, Grasslands is activating our Emergency Billet Protocol. Students will only be released to their identified emergency billet contact.
Please contact your emergency billet as soon as possible to confirm arrangements. School staff will remain on site after dismissal to support students and families as needed.

We have made the difficult decision to postpone our Christmas concert to tomorrow, December 18th.
We have been advised by Grasslands Central Office there may be delays or cancellations to transportation as weather conditions change.
If you are able to come pick up your child from school as soon as possible, it is recommended. Weather is supposed to change by 2pm.
