The Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) and the Government of Alberta have announced they will resume bargaining on October 14th.

Please note that the strike remains in effect, and all Grasslands schools are temporarily closed until further notice. There will be no in-person or online classes, and no supervision or extracurricular activities at this time.

We remain hopeful that both parties will soon reach an agreement.

We know many of you have questions about the potential teacher strike. The Alberta Teachers' Association has voted to reject the proposed agreement, which means strike action could begin as early as Monday, October 6th if an agreement isn’t reached.

Alcoma Home and School Association are looking for volunteers to work at our Casino Fundraiser in Lethbridge on June 17th from 8:00pm to 4:00am. We are looking for 5 volunteers. These proceeds provide our students with great educational opportunities. Please let the school know if you are able to volunteer for this shift.
