The Junior High Girls Volleyball team played hard at the Grasslands Athletic Association Intermediate League Finals. Twelve teams took part in the finals which was held in Duchess and Rosemary school.
The Raiders had late games but they came out swinging with hair glitter and all. The girls won their first game against Bassano Broncos which came to a third set.
The Raiders then played SJC. Having back to back late games, the girls had to dig deep. They ended up losing both sets but not without a fight. 19-25 set 1 and 23-25 set 2.
The amount of improvement and team work these girls had was amazing. Mr. Irwin coached the girls team this year and did an excellent job.
The JH Girls Raiders team have been invited to play in the 1A South Central Zones which will be hosted in Bassano. Stay tuned for a schedule.
