Last week, Alcoma School welcomed a theatre residency from the New West Theatre, giving our students a unique opportunity to collaborate in creating their own play. Throughout the week, a professional artist worked closely with students and staff, guiding them as they shared ideas and helped shape a single, unified performance.
The artist supported every aspect of the production - bringing together students creativity while also guiding students with setting up staging, lighting and sound. Students participated in daily workshops, building their skills and confidence, leading up to a dress rehearsal on Thursday.
The final performance took place during our Spring Tea on Friday and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. It was a wonderful showcase of teamwork, imagination and talent.
To make the event even more special, our kindergarten students performed a delightful song and poem, adding a charming and memorable touch to the celebration.
