Open house

On May 2nd Alcoma had their annual spring tea and open house. This event is in celebration of all the parents, community members and volunteers we have in our school.

In our program we had students read poems, perform on the piano, sing songs and play recorder performances in the gym for everyone to enjoy. Junior high students served tables with treats, tea and coffee. After the performances, everyone went outside to watch the 25 year old time capsule be opened. Students who had put items and letters in the time capsule 25 years ago joined us to open this. Alcoma parents provided soup and a bun for everyone to enjoy. The afternoon was packed with lots of activities. SPEC playgroup took place for younger children and Alcoma Community Kids Club took place for kindergarten to grade 9 children. Alcoma was open for anyone to tour and for new families to see what our school has to offer. Stay tuned for when Alcoma 2024/2025 students will put their time capsule back in to the ground!

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual spring tea and to those who helped make everything run smooth. We appreciate you all.
